Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 : Review, Features & More


This blog post is dedicated to upgraded version of Samsung Galaxy Tab : Galaxy Tab S2 and this is now Samsung’s flagship tablet. It’s fast, it’s powerful, it’s svelte and it’s good-looking. Let us see what all other elements of the tablet are put in a platter to make it unique in its own way.

Looks and Build – Unbelievably Skinny

With a thickness of 5.6mm, dimensions 212 x 126 x 5.6mm and weighing 389 grams, this tablet is super skinny and light weight. The tablet is made neatly with plastic back while its aluminium frame with fine sloping edges and stabilized metal buttons gives the tablet extremely elegant looks.
At the back there are two metal dots in order to mount a Bluetooth keyboard. There is also a single button on front which is a finger print scanner to give encryption to tablet and also letting you buy things by recognizing your fingerprints.

Display

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 comes has two versions one with 8-inch and other with 9.7-inch slates. Samsung has always been at its zenith when comes to screen displays and this tab is not behind either. With same boast Super AMOLED displays having 1536 x 2048 pixel resolutions and 320ppi, the screen surely an eye candy.

Power, Battery & Storage

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is powered by upgraded Samsung Exynos octa-core processor clocked at 1.9GHz and 1.3 GHz while it encompasses 3GB RAM. We did a full play around the tab and found it quite impressive with multitasking and heavy gaming.

Inside this tab is a 4000mAh battery which is substantial with its hefty screen resolution.
The Tab comes in two storage choices a 32 GB and a 64 GB both of which can be further extended up to 128GB via microSD.

Camera

This Samsung’s flagship tab has a camera bundled with autofocus in 8MP rear camera while front one is 2.1MP, good enough for video chatting. Also, rear camera can record 1440p QHD video at 30 frames per second. We tried on a few shorts with rear camera, the clicks were quite decent in natural light.

Other Features

Other features include a fast working finger print scanner built into home button, a SideSync that syncs your Samsung mobile phone screen into the tablet. This will help in performing tasks like making a call, sending an SMS or a WhatsApp message.

Along with 802.11n Wi-Fi and optional LTE, all models have connectivity options of GPS, GLONASS and Bluetooth 4.1. There are some nice pre-loaded apps, too, including Microsoft’s Office suite.

Conclusion

Priced at INR 40,000 and running on Android lollipop this sleek beauty is a jaw dropping flagship tablet from Samsung. The tablet looks quite promising and is surely having the “wow” factor that gives tablets a must needed push.
