Last week, we at TechQuark released a teaser to Coolpad’s upcoming phone. We were extremely thrilled to find out what the phone could house and now Coolpad had finally unleashed its beast to our expense. Coolpad calls this beast ‘Coolpad Note 5’.

We got an opportunity have a hands on experience of this phone. Let's have a look at its ability to mesmerize all!

Display and Design

There is no denying to the fact this is a handsome looking phone. The body is metallic, giving it an executive and a rich look with a uni-body metal frame encompassing the phone. Weighing 173.4g, Note 5 is a 5.5-inch phone with full HD display, a 2.5D curved glass, good touch response and natural screen colors.

Camera

Nowadays, selfies are a prominent part of our social life and so phone cameras are modeled towards catering this need. Coolpad Note 5 has also taken care of this component and hence given its front camera a 8 MP resolution with LED flash making it count in the list of some of the rare phones which house front LED flash. The rear camera is 13 MP also with a LED flash.

We shot a few photos and videos of our surroundings and got great results in good to average light conditions.

Performance

Now that our wait is over on guessing the specs of this phone, let us tell you that at a price of just 10,999, the specification blew our mind. A 4 GB RAM, Qualcomm SD 617 Octa-core processor, 32 GB internal storage expandable up to 64 GP is all we could have asked for. Moreover, we did our performance tests on this phone and it replicated quite well with multiple apps running in the background and no heating of the device whatsoever with high-end games. As of operating system, the phone encompasses Android 6.0, Marshmallow, with its customized Cool UI 8.0 interface.
The battery is a non-removable 4010mAh which aims at offering 350 hours of standby time and 14 hours of talk time. That's Huge !

The fingerprint sensor is one feature that Coolpad is always been best at. Apart from this Note 5 has, Accelerometer, Geomagnetic Sensor Proximity Sensor, Light Sensor and a Dual Space feature, which allows you to use two accounts on different apps at the same time. In connectivity domain, the smartphone is 4G LTE and VoLTE supported and hence it can equip a Reliance Jio 4G SIM card.
