The phone looks more or less like the usual smartphones available in the larger smartphone market. The phone is uni-body thus the battery is not replaceable. The phone has a glossy finish which prone it to smudges at the back and even do not give a decent grip. It’s a 5.5 inch Full HD JDI display with scratch proof Gorilla Glass 3 screen. Gionee Life E7 is coupled with customized version of Android’s 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system called Amigo 2.0. The transition effects, navigations, sound effects etc, gives a different experience to the same Android phone. The colorful flat icos looks like the are brought straight from a kids color book.

A problem with the UI is absence of widgets, when the android users are accustomed to widgets . The phone offers third party apps like UC Browser being the phone’s default browser. Other apps include, Facebook, YahooCricket, App Manager, Game Zone, Kingsoft Office, Twitter, File Explorer
Another problem is the absence of widgets. A number of Android users love widgets as they offer information at a glance, but Gionee Elife E7's UI doesn't support them. Even lock screen widgets are not supported barring one made by Gionee that offers access to camera, voice recorder, flashlight and a fake call app.

Gionee Elife E7 includes some third party apps, including UC Browser, which is the phone's default web browser, File Explorer, Facebook, Twitter, NQ Mobile Security, Whatsapp, Saavn, torch, compass app, etc. also including system tools like performance enhancement apps.

He phone also offers a default call recorder, the video player is resizable and can be multi-processed with other apps, i.e. you can use other apps while watching a video over your phone. Also, a number of other useful apps are available which will be really useful in daily lives.

Camera

Gionee Elife E7 has a 16 megapixel rear camera and an 8 megapixel front camera thus making your selfies better. The camera like others available in market takes very good pictures during day light but gives a purple tint to night light pictures. Coming to videos, it can record Full HD 1080p videos at 30 frames per second. Also, the camera works pretty well in locking focus and a good amount of detail.

Battery

Battery offered by Gionee is 2500 mAh. With normal usage it lasts fro about a day and a half. The battery gives a very good phone uptime considering the screen size and processor.

Performance

When comes to performance , Elife E7 give a strong competition to many of the premium handsets available in the market. This has bee possible because if the 2.2 GHz Qualcom Snapdragon processor coupled with Adreno 330 Graphcs card and 2GB RAM.
