Asus ZenPad 8.0 for my "On the Wheels" Lifestyle

I am a science lover and my life is straight of the movie “Minority Report”. Well, at least there is no harm in day dreaming! But, being an IT consultant and a professional technology blogger, my heels are always on wheels! My life revolves around screens connected together, and me swiping left to right and vice versa trying to figure out what the numbers say or graph depicts. In between these chaos of gadgets I have to manage my blog too! Well, all I wanted was a single device which manages my coffee, my blog as well as my presentations.

To get out of this trauma, I had decided on tablets since 2014, while loved some and hated some in this process! From Mac to Windows, I thought I’ve had my journey of tablets and then I stumbled upon Android tablet, ZenPad 8.0 Z380 KL. I have been using it for past month and it has been a savior since then.

That feeling of reaching over Asus Zenpad 8 and seeing it is ready to go while using minimal power overnight is pure bliss. The efficient connected standby mode backed up by 4000mAh battery, gives instant access to calls, texts and other notifications. It is a regular habit that while I am browsing through Inshorts for quick news, favourite tech blogs or social websites; I realize that I forgot to send important work emails, upload necessary files or even upload some images to Facebook. The seamless integration of Zenpad 8.0 with my other gadgets using USB, MicroSD, HDMI, Bluetooth or even taking advantage of Dropbox is an icing on cake.

Though I don’t generally judge a book by its cover, but if a gadget is good looking, it definitely scores a little more on my list and Asus has hit the nail hard in this aspect. The device is simple with no regular off screen soft keys while the thin metallic strip covering the entire body with an exquisite leather-like texture gives a rich look to the tab. Measuring a thickness of 8.5mm and weighing 350g with beautifully crafted edges and corning Gorilla glass screen, this gadget has proven to be my travel buddy.

I prefer doing my researches on the go, saving drafts, pictures and write-ups on the cloud. Though I don’t consider tab to be a great option for writing my blogs but my basic necessity is a large enough tab in which I can do minor modifications, save templates, create drafts and read easily. This, 8 inch tab housed with Android Lollipop 5.0 takes care of all my prerequisites very nicely. A ratio of 76.5% wide screen-to-body with a viewing angle of up to 178 degrees WXGA 1280×800 high-definition IPS never gave my eyes the “stressed” feeling of working for long hours on a tab.

Asus Audio Cover : Grooves on the Move

These days, Gadgets have become cliché, with almost similar looks, features or specifications, anything novel gives an edge to the gadget and this is what I usually incline to. For Asus Zenpad 8.0, this point of difference lies in its audio cover. So what is so special in it? Well, I have never considered tabs to be a music powerhouse until Zenpad Audio cover happened.

This supercool audio cover converts Zenpad 8.0 to an electrifying entertainment system. Defining the world’s first and foremost, this tab lists itself for being world’s first tablet to integrate DTS-HD Premium Sound for an enhanced audio experience. The audio cover comes as an additional accessory if the user wishes to buy. It houses four Main speakers, one Center and one Subwoofer and delivers sound in an upward direction.

Not letting technical details off my veins, on an ending note I would like to list that this tab has pretty awesome specification. Zenpad 8.0 runs on runs on 1.4GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 SoC processor with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, upto 128GB of expandable storage and LTE connectivity on Indian bands. An 8 megapixel rear camera is good enough for taking a skyline picture out or an Ariplane’s window and 2 megapixel front camera does justice to the Skype conference calls.

Moreover, tagged with a price of 14,999 this device have been my savior.
