ASUS Zenfone 3 : A Worth & Powerful Successor!

Asus had launched multiple variants of Zenfone 2 last year and it worked pretty well in the favor of ASUS. This year, Zenfone 3 is set to startle us all, we got an opportunity to work on 5.2in 2GB RAM of this piece and found it quite exquisite.

Let’s have a little more information about it and decide whether it could be the best buy.

Design & Display

Considering design aspects, Zenfone 3 is splendid. The spun-cut etchings along with shimmering glass and metal body make it an elegant piece of art. A 2.5D contoured corning gorilla glass on both sides of the body is always on its duty to protect the flawless design from any scratches that might add a spot to the unblemished looks. Moreover, C-type Reversible charging protects the phone from getting hot while charging or playing high-end games so you can never get your hands off this beauty.

The phone comes in two variants 5.5 inches and 5.2-inch screen size while it has a full HD LCD screen bearing 1920x1080 pixel resolution and a 401 PPI density.

Performance

It is never a harm to boast about unique features, and so is what we will be doing here. Zenfone 3 is world’s first handset that comes with 14nm Snapdragon processor with 64-Bit Octa-Core CPU and clocking at 2.0Ghz coupled with a 4 GB LPDDR3 RAM . This all new S625 series is a middle-high range processor more powerful when compared to its previous generations and thus making Zenfone 3 count among some of the most powerful mobile phones till date.

Zenfone 3’s graphics are supported by integrated Adreno 506 graphics. There is an inbuilt storage space of 64GB with external for microSD cards of up to 2TB for expansion. Also, in collaboration with Google, Asus is offering 100GB of free cloud storage space for two years.

The phone supports fast charging with a non-removable 3000mAh battery.

Camera

Asus categorizes Zenfone 3 under “Camera Phones” and we agree with the same. The camera is extremely steady and produces good quality pictures and videos even for moving objects. At technical standpoint, the phone has PixelMaster technology featuring 4K video recording, Optical Image stabilization, 3 Axis for steady videos and 4 Axis for steady photographs. We took a number of pictures of moving objects and were amazed to find that photographs were extremely steady and of professional quality. The super resolution mode is programmed to take 64MP resolution pictures giving us the same experience that we have been receiving from our DSLR.
