InFocus Turbo 5: The Affordable & Powerful 5000 mAh Phone

Infocus Corporation, a global leader in visual and communication market, is an American company founded in 1956. With the motto of helping people communicate, create, collaborate and be more effective in every day, Infocus has recently launched Turbo5, a smartphone with mantra “Charge Less. Do More”.

Last month, we at TechQuark, had our own conjectures about what the phone could have in store for us. This month on July 4, Amazon had an exclusive launch of Infocus Turbo5, let’s have a quick look on the features and specifications that this phone brings in for all.

Battery

Well, when a smartphone has a battery of 5000 mAh, it is ought to be the selling point! The same goes for Turbo5. Its massive battery claims to keep the phone alive for straight two days while on standby mode, the phone can go for up to a month. Further to the immensity of this battery, it claims to provide as much as continuous 15 hours of online gaming, 23 hours of video calling and 50 hours of incessant music playback.

We have been using Turbo5 and it's been over a day since we kept the phone on charging and it is still up and running with normal usage of accessing social websites, shopping websites, music, videos, and games.

Additionally, the phone supports reverse charging feature, i.e., it also acts as a power bank to juice up your other devices.

Hardware and Specifications

Turbo5 is available in two variants of a 3GB RAM with 32 GB internal storage and a 2 GB RAM with 16GB internal storage. Both of these variants are powered by 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor and runs on latest Android Nougat v7.0 Operating system which the company promises to update to Android O as in when it is launched.

This latest Android version makes multitasking easier by enabled features of app switching, and ability to reply from notifications out of the box.

Considering stronger security, the phone has a fingerprint scanner, which apart from unlocking the phone provides flexibility of answering phone calls, taking pictures and other features which we at TechQuark are still uncovering.

Camera

A 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash takes scenic pictures and a 5MP front camera with beautify mode captures classy selfies. Picture quality is above average as the rear lens captures a good amount of light which makes even low light pictures good.

Design and Display

The phone weighs about 164g, has a metal unibody design and is available in two color variants, Mocha and Pure Gold. We got to get our hands dirty on Mocha Gold, a decent, chic gold color. The screen size is 5.2 inch with 2.5D curved glass and display resolution of 1280 X 720 HD.
